14 week old baby with a cold

DS has been snuffly, with a runny nose for a day or so. He's felt a little warm to me but our (old) thermometer says his temperature is ok. He's been sleeping almost all day so far (woke up for about 2 lots of half an hour), spending some of the time conked out on me feeding in his sleep. He's been crying while awake for when he's woken during the last few hours (was ok first thing though)

I've put some baby vicks stuff on his chest and saline up his nose to clear the snuffling and it seems to have helped.

My instincts tell me this is ok and normal if he's feeling grotty, but being a new mum I always second guess myself!

Is this what other people experience with snuffly babies?

Also, he's supposed to have his second lot of injections tomorrow - should I cancel this or wait to see how he is later / in the morning?

my ds3 has had a cold every month of his little life .its horrible but just console yourself that when your ds grows up his immune system will be strong.
i believe that there is no reason why a child with a cold should not go for their jabs,i may be wrong but thats what i was told by the practice nurses

a plug in vaopuriser will help him breathe better. also have you got one of those nasal aspirators?

I also have a 14 week old ds!

He was a bit poorly last week and was also due for jabs. The nurse's main concern was whether or not he had a temperature, but I suspect this might vary. Might be worth phoning before you go?

thanks all.

Of course now, after his marathon sleep, just as I had given up, missed my post natal group and was about to climb in bed with him, he wakes up all cheery!
