Period pain but no period

I've had the usual PMT symptoms and have had period pain for the last 2 days (bad enough to keep taking paracetemol) but no period.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes Mercy.

I have these all the time, sometimes they can go on for days on end, it's horrible isn't it?

It's only the second time it's happened to me tbh. I was also wondering whether it's another symptom of the menopause (I guess I should have posted there)

I've no idea about the onset of menopause, I've had them all my life, but, they have got worse since I've had the mirena coil.

I've been having this recently, have also assumed it is something to do with the menopause.

That's interesting CT. I wonder if it means the beginning of the end of them (she said hopefully)

Yes, I get that. Often around mid cycle as well as all sorts of other weird aches and pains and again few days before period when I feel really groggy. Oddly very little actual period pain - tis almost a relief when it starts.

I've had that 3 times - and each time I was pregnant. Have you excluded that as a possibility?!

Mercy · 29/04/2008 10:43

Definitely not pregnant!

I was wondering about that but then felt a bit freaked out by the whole thing and went into denial about it ! It has happened a few times now. My period does eventually turn up but last month was a week late and then I get the sodding period pain all over again when it arrives.
