Having a health anxiety moment and need a hand hold!

Been noticing these tiny flecks of red on my skin, broken capillaries I think.

recent bloods for medical insurance for work all ok. Sent photo to GP. No reply, just ‘book routine appointment’. Now paranoid they think it’s something bad

I've had these for years (as long as can remember) and still do. I also had a health anxiety panic over them once but my DH showed me he had the same and I realised they had been there for as long as I can remember so left it. They are still there, in the same places.

If you think they are all suddenly new then defo get checked, however you can have them and them be normal.

Thank you. Do you have any photos?

Both my sister and I have these, just part and parcel of having fair skin.

Schoolrunmum81 · 26/11/2024 18:52

I have tonnes of these some loads bigger than this, had them checked they mine are cherry angiomas. I'm very fair so as pp said just part and parcel of being pale!

ConsternationStation · 26/11/2024 20:02

I've got lots of these. I first noticed them a couple of years ago, panicked and went to the GP, who reassured me that they were fine. They'd either go away themselves or that would just be my skin now. She said so long as nothing changed with their shape or size then there was no need to worry. I've still got them now, mostly on my arms, and fortunately they don't worry me any more!

ConsternationStation · 26/11/2024 20:04

Oh, I'll just add that I'm not particularly fair skinned either! I pick up a tan very easily, thanks to some eastern European heritage.

smallchange · 26/11/2024 20:13

I've got loooads of these, from pinprick size to maybe the size of the end of a pencil rubber (2 on the underside of my breasts.)

My dad's got lots as well. We're very pale.

The only time a health professional was interested was when I had a mammogram, and that was only to make a note of the big ones in case they showed up on the scan (if they did, they weren't bothered).

whataballbag · 26/11/2024 20:26

I've got quite a lot of these!

I really do feel for you, I have struggled with the most awful health anxiety for a while after a bereavement. I got to a point where I was going to the GP almost every day (something different every time), one day I even went twice!!

Obviously if you are concerned then ask for an appointment for some reassurance, there is no point sitting and panicking yourself! Or if your surgery does e-consults? (Sorry not sure if you've already said that)

ivfjourneyandme · 26/11/2024 20:29

Thank you all very much for your reassurance and support. Means a lot 😊

I have these too, I had a nurse check them during a blood test and she said they are fine and part of the package of getting old 😔

motherofonegirl · 27/11/2024 00:10

Looks completely normal?

Getorfthelawn · 28/11/2024 18:59

There have been posts about these before (I know because I have been on them and had the very same panic!). They are very common it seems. I have now noticed mine for a few years (they were probably always there but I never noticed!) and I can say very confidently that you don't need to worry. If you search back on my posts you will find one with photos too I think.

Getorfthelawn · 28/11/2024 19:02

I'm new to the app and can't work out how to search by name, but if you search threads for "tiny red spots on arm" it will come up

Healthanxiety95 · 28/02/2025 15:31

@ivfjourneyandme ive the very same thing now!!! Are yours still there? Mine look the exact same as you basically all over my body sparsely spread out. Also suffer with HA :(

ivfjourneyandme · 01/03/2025 13:42

@Healthanxiety95 hey! Yes they’re still there, some days more than others. I’m trying to ignore them…..

I’m covered too. I get HA and saw my GP. He did bloods, all fine. I’m still alive. It was years ago, they’re still there.
