% stitches in scalp getting infected after day 7

I've dissolvable stitches in my scalp post cyst removal. And it's day 7. I'm paranoid about infection as my stitches got infected post childbirth (which involved being on operating table). Tho' they look to be healing but I've heard stories about dissolvable stitches not dissolving and getting infected. I've also still got weird pain, headaches and earache but that could just be the whole healing process. They don't give many instructions apart from put vaseline on wound (I think for 2 weeks???). I'm showering in a tentative way every 2 days. Antibiotics also mess up my already IBS so I'm wary.

I had similar last year. I was told that unless some snotty kid sneezed all over me, or I rubbed dirt in it, the chance of infection was very low.

Just keep an eye on them,nothing else you can do. I have to say every time I've had dissolvable stitches they've got infected. I had no issues with my c section though.
