My twins both came down with a cough around a week ago. 4 days in and they both developed fevers, we saw the GP yesterday who said one had a clear chest (her fever has since gone) and one was sounding a bit congestion and to start antibiotics if she still had a fever by friday night (now). Well her fever broke last night and all of today her temp was around 36.9 but around an hour before bed it shot up again to 38. I was hopeful we avoided antibiotics as they are only 7 months, but i will give it if she needs it obviously. Could the fever coming back indicate a bacterial infection or is it just a viral fever tapering off? Today is 4th day of these fevers.
