8m old with chicken pox - what can I use?

DS1 had it 2 weeks ago and we got through with aqueous calamine, nurofen, piriton, bicarb and porridge oats in the bath.

8m old got his first spots today - what should I use for him? I can't use Piriton I don't think as not for under 1's. Someone suggested tea tree oil - how do I use it, do I need to dilute it or mix in a carrier oil before putting on the spots?

Any advice welcome - was hoping he wouldn't get it!!

Piriteze allergy syrup is similar to Piriton (as the name implies), and our bottle says it's suitable from 6+ months. Good luck - hope he doesn't get it too badly.

you can use all the same things, may need special baby nurofen syrup as well as the Piriteze though

well he is not too bad - spots don't seem as itchy as his brothers were and he is not as poorly. The GP said onlt thing to watch out for was "if it goes in his eyes" and to bring him in if so. Did she mean actually on his eyeball? He has got a spot right on his upper eyelid in contact with his eye but not in it as such. It doesn't seem to be bothering him anymore than the others. Do you think I need to get it looked at?

I got some tea tree cream in the end which goes on nicely and is also helping with the last manky ones of his brothers.
