I've had what I was told was a 'Seborrheic keratosis' for nearly 2 years.
Hospital said it wasn't sinister but they would check it the following year.
Been for check-up (different Hospital Dr than previously).
It hasn't really grown - it's between 5-6mm.
Dr today said it looks inflamed (it does rub on my clothes as it's on my neck and obvious) and it looks a bit more rough in comparison to last year's photos.
Dr said cannot see any signs of it being cancerous but that it isn't a classic Seb K but it has elements of it.
Dr then gave me 3 options:
- Punch Biopsy
- See me in clinic again (months)
- Discharge me
I was completely baffled with the choices so Dr repeated everything to me again.
I'd got to make a decision immediately so I decided to opt for the punch biopsy as Dr said if I changed my mind I can just have it looked at in clinic once more.
I'm still unsure. I don't want to aggravate the Seb K as it's in an obvious place, Dr said will not remove it on NHS but the punch biopsy itself will leave a small scar and the Seb K will still be there too.
Anyone had a similar experience?
