Anyone with this horrific norovirus?

Dd4 started with it last Thursday, dh and I Saturday night and dd11 last night. She’s definitely the worst. She’s prone to vomiting anyway but last night was like a horror movie. We’ve got one more child left to get it. Seems like it’s sort of inevitable 😕

20yo DD had it a few weeks ago - it was absolutely horrendous, I’ve never seen her so sick in my life. She became quite panicky as she felt like she was going to die - it got to a point where we were considering a 2am A&E trip. 40 degree fever and very dehydrated as she couldn’t keep anything whatsoever down for nearly 24 hours.

I don’t that it’s inevitable your other DD will get it - I was at home looking after DD for the entire time and I managed to avoid it. To the best of our knowledge no other friends/family who she’d been in close contact with in the days before got it either.

That all sounds awful! Hope they are all on the mend now.
I came down with what I think must be this last night. Started feeling very sick. Then horrifically unwell for about an hour, and very weak and lying down since. Really hoping that’s it for the symptoms now but that seems unlikely if it is Noro.
Was supposed to be at a concert tonight. Obvs that’s not happening now.
Tried to clean bathroom after things calmed down, so worried might infect everyone else esp elderly and generally unwell fil.

I was madly sick and diarrhoea for 4 hours, then in bed three days but washed and weak out for another two or three days on top of that.

We've had it on repeat in our house! Me, my husband and 3 and a 4 year old boys! 😩 both boys vomited in the car of all places and I had diarrhoea for days!

It took me a good 2 weeks to recover from it a couple of months ago. I’m genuinely traumatised by the whole thing.
It was firing out of both ends at the same time.

Dd was like that. At one point I was holding her hair back while she was sick in the loo and she had diarrhoea all over my feet. It’s truly awful

The poor thing. Our whole family came down with it and it was honestly one of the worst nights of my life. I kept nearly passing out and was having to lie on the bathroom floor between episodes, then get back on the loo, then back on the floor. Awful.
I lost nearly a stone in 24 hours and it took me 2 weeks to eat more than just cereal and pasta. I’d say it was easily 6 weeks before I felt my stomach was back to normal.

I think I’d rather die than go through that again and that really isn’t a joke!

I had a weird thing last week - nausea, no vomiting but OMG the diarrhoea was something else! It only last 24 hours but the still feel (and look) exhausted and washed out. No one else in the house has it though so maybe not noro. Who knows

That’s what dh and I have been like. Nausea and diarrhoea but no vomiting. Youngest had vomiting and then diarrhoea a day later, eldest has the whole lot all together and about ten times worse than the youngest. Middle child were waiting on. Weird how it effects people so differently

Aww god. Poor you. What a flipping nightmare. I dread these sickness bugs. We never get through a winter without it. Some people I speak to say their kids never get them. How?!
