Pasta allergy?? 11 month old

My ds, 11 months has just had a stomach bug. It lasted about 36 hours, and since then he has only been sick at tea time after one or two bits of pasta, which he normally loves. Yesterday he had egg for tea and wasn't sick at all, on fri it was pasta and he was a bit sick, and tonight pasta again and he was very sick, but only once and went on to eat a cabbage/tomato/quinoa thing and yogurt (with weetabix in). Our assumption is it's some kind of psychological association, and will lay off pasta for a week. Anyone had similar experiences?

Hmm. I would wonder about gluten and wheat maybe.

Thank you, I'm only not as he'd digested weetabix and bread yesterday and today no prob and was sick after a mouthful of pasta, so hadn't digested that at all.

Maybe it is just the psychological connection. Perhaps just lay off the pasta for a few weeks then tentatively re-introduce.
