Lower back pain out of nowhere

newnamenellie · 08/11/2024 12:35

Yesterday afternoon, I noticed a pain in my lower back when I got up from the sofa and bent to get something from a cupboard. I thought I'd just been sitting awkwardly but it didn't go away.

It's still there now, and feels more spread across my lower back whereas yesterday it felt more on one side, as though I needed to get my fingers into the muscle.

It's more of a general dull ache now but still feels worse when bending. I've been taking ibuprofen which I think helps a little, but I'm just puzzled as to what it is.

Hiya, OP. We'll move your thread to General Health for you now as we can see you haven't had much luck posting in Chat.
