Medication and loss of smell

I have been on high blood pressure medication for the last 5 years, taking amlodipine 5mg. Last November I also started taking statins, atorvastatin 20mg and telmisartan 20mg.
I am otherwise healthy, have the flu vaccination and no coughs or colds in over a year.
The last few months I have been complaining to my family that I have no sense of smell, even when I spray perfume on my neck I don't notice it. Thinking back the loss of smell most likely started after taking of the statins.
Looking on Dr google there is a link between statin and loss of smell, does anyone else suffer? I am going to visit the Dr but do not know if they will just fob me off.

I stopped taking the atorvastatin and telmisartan for a few weeks and a sense of smell did return.
I went back to the doctor and they swapped the atorvastatin for another type and I was still able to smell.
I was at the doctor recently for another issue and complained that I still didn't have a full sense of smell. I am now only on telmisartan so a waiting game to see if my sense of smell returns completely.
