Anyone here with Fibromyalgia? What is it?

I know it's an autoimmune condition and it causes pain but I don't know anything else about it.

Over the past few weeks my legs are unreal sore. All of my legs. Feet, ankles, knees, thighs. It feels like I am dragging bricks around for my knees.

There's something just not right. I'm tired easily as well and I need more breaks during the day and need to sit down more often.

Does that sound like Fibromyalgia?

Fibro tends to be all over the body and mostly in your joints. It's also about tiredness, brain fog and some other stuff.

It's a diagnosis of exclusion though as a lot of other things have similar symptoms (and are much more treatable too). Hypothyroidism mirrors fibro very closely (to the point I thought my thyroid dying was just a long fibro flare up for the first few months). Low levels of Vitamin D, iron, B12 or folic acid can also cause similar things.

It's best to see a GP and get a blood test to see what's going on before thinking it could be fibro though. It took 7 years after things started for me to get diagnosed - it's not something they'll confirm after just a few weeks of symptoms.
