Hi
I am 37 years of age and have been wondering if I could possibly be in menopause/perimenopause.

For the past few months I have had very irregular periods, and I even went 3 months without a period at all.

I don,t think I have had any other syptoms.
I have had hormone tests done which have come back okay.
Is it possible that my irregular periods could mean I am heading towards menopause even though hormone tests have not shown this.
What makes me question this possibility even more is the fact that early menopause is in my family.
Has anybody on here had normal hormone tests but then have found that they are in fact in menopause.

Not had experience of your situation but I had instant ovarian failure and menopause with cancer treatment in the autumn. My GP gave me some links, sadly saved on my old pc, but I'l have a root around and try and find some stuff for you.

The site the GP recommended:
www.thebms.org.uk/

Other ones I found while following links:
www.menopausematters.co.uk/
www.daisynetwork.org.uk/
www.earlymenopauseuk.co.uk/

I remember reading that changes could start seven years before it's "really" the menopause.

I'm really not an expert though, and haven't read anything for a while as have been dealing with my cancer treatment.

Hello greedypig (btw there is a section specifically for those of us who are going through the menopause - if it transpires that you are).

I'm a bit older than you and my first symptom was irregular periods, followed by spots, weird moods, odd heartbeats etc!!

Have you had a baby recently?
