I have recently come off Mirtazapine & find that I now take a while to drop off plus I wake at least once in the night. I looked at Kalms & Nytol but they contain ethanol which I can’t have as I was alcohol dependent. Can anyone recommend a natural effective product?

I've heard sour cherry juice really helps with sleep, but I've never tried it or seen it in a shop!

Magnesium glycinate. I have gone from 4-5 hours a night to a solid 7-8.

I found Dr Stuart’s sleep tea very good, when I can find it! imagine it would be online.

Magnesium glycinate supplement 100%

RabbitsRock · 14/10/2024 23:39

I have magnesium with Vit B6 (bought to help with night time cramping) - would that help with sleep too?

Magnesium glycinate
What is it?
Where do you get it from?
How/when do you take it?

Sharpkat · 15/10/2024 08:18

@CornishTeaTime I take two magnesium glycinate when I go to bed so about an hour before I go to sleep. I buy it on Amazon.

@Sharpkat does it make/help you sleep?

Reason why Im curious....

Family member has prostate cancer and meds make them restless at night, body is a bitwitchy they say 😀 so sleep is poor.
Consultant wont prescribe any more sleeping meds but has suggested some natural rememdies. Im wondering if this will helps

Sharpkat · 15/10/2024 09:50

I definitely sleep so much better. My parents also take it and it has made a huge difference to them. I used to wake up every hour and be really restless and now I sleep through the whole night.

Check out the Sleepstation website. It's a sleep school. Tell the website who your GP is and you'll either get it entirely free or with a large discount.

I'm doing it now. It seems to be working.
