Slightly whacky periods... should I worry?

I am 26 and not on any birth control.

Recently, my periods have been slightly irregular. My cycle is shorter than usual (21-26 days). I do not have any discomfort or bleeding outside of my period, which is always 5 days long. I have been under quite significant stress (severe chronic anxiety and depression, sick family members, financial worries etc.) I'm also waiting to find out if I have the BRCA gene. My diet and general activity levels are not great, and I'm probably 5-10lbs overweight.

Do I need to worry about my periods? Will they fix themselves?

Im sure they will settle when you reduce your stress. My periods stopped when I was stressed in my 20’s.
