I have hurt my back, how can I fix it and how long will it take?

I have pulled something in my upper back
Been to the docs got diclofenac
Seeing a physio tomorrow

What else can I do?

Alternate Ice & heat packs are great. DS's Osteopath recommended icing alone if you can stand it (few minutes on, 1 minute off etc) as it reduces inflammation quickly.

You can take Paracetamol with Diclofenac (but NOT ibuprofen) DS had Codeine as well.

Have taken some paracetamol and hot water bottle is giving some relief

Such a pain, esp as have under 5s to look after

Keep moving, though gently, if you can - seized up muscles make things worse, IME.
