Can't wee properly after sex

Every time I have sex recently, I can't wee properly for a few days to a week afterwards. The stream of wee is weak and I don't have much urge to go. When I do go my bladder doesn't empty fully. I'm also very bloated with lots of wind. It's really frustrating and concerning as I don't want to get a uti. I was wondering if it could be due to pelvic floor dysfunction or a prolapse or something? Anything I can do to help the situation until I see the gp next Tuesday?

It sounds like you have a prolapse. The first symptoms I had were not being able to wee properly. I had to force it out. And then there'd always be some left behind which would leak out afterwards.

You don't say what age you are but it can be (yet another) symptom of menopause. Oestrogen can help to sort it out.

You need to see your GP and get it sorted. Not being able to urinate is not good!

@secondchancesat its not a uti. I've had many and know the symptoms very well. This is very different.

@JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn yes this is what I'm thinking unfortunately. It's strange that it worsens after sex. I'm 40 so very possible it could be due to peri menopause. It's like all the muscles and nerves in the area have forgotten how to work properly or something. I had something similar for a while after having my youngest via c section but it sorted itself out eventually. Assumed it was the trauma of surgery messing things up.
