Tongue - back of throat

Hi, can anyone tell me if anyone gets the same feeling.

Sometime, I feel like the back of my tongue is dry and numb and makes it hard to swallow. When I check the back of my tongue there are bumps on the back. Looks like swallow taste buds… I’m not sure. Has this ever happened to anyone? It’s making me really nervous as I am thinking of the worse case scenario. I need some reassurance please.

My tongue has loads of bumps on the back of it, like big lumpy bits, my dentist said it's normal but if you're concerned just ask the gp :)

Does it hurt? I feel like my tongue in the back hurts.

Everything you Google will take you to cancer…as I’m sure you’ve found out already!
make a gp appointment ….let them have a look….chances are it’s nothing…..I had a period where I struggled to swallow and it hurt …went on for a while so not a sore throat…..got referred for a scope to look at throat…it was reflux…. 4 months of omeprazole I was sorted…..not saying thsi is you….but always better to get checked out…..it will give you peace of mind….wishing you well

Good……health anxiety is the pits ……maybe a bit of cbt ? I had this for health anxiety…..it did help a bit….like only having .’worry’ time in a certain part of the day …..sounds daft but can’t help to try it

It;s not painful in general but it's sore if I touch them. I have a feeling mine are caused by acid reflux but this is entirely self diagnosing.
