worried about xray this morning.

Hi

I went to see the nurse yesterday with severe back/chest pain that ive been having for the last 3 weeks or so. So painful that im almost unable to breathe, worse and night and in the morning. Anyway shes sent me to the hosital this morning for an urgent chest xray. Did not say what for, and now im all worried. Had another terrible nights sleep beacuse of the pain as well.
Can someone make me feel a bit better before i go?

I'm surprised she didn't explain it all to you. It could be something as simple as a chest infection. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Have they ruled out an infection? Have you had antibiotics? No falls/accidents/strains? Did it start as a cold/cough? Come on gradually?

Urgent doesn't necessarily mean serious btw. It means it's affecting you an awful lot right now and therefore needs immediate attention.

Could be pleurisy or chest infection.
