Last week my handbrake failed on my car on a steep hill just as I was walking towards it. I opened the drivers door and tried to get in, but couldn’t, so turned the steering wheel down so it would go into a drive rather than starlight out into the road at the bottom of the hill

I then fell over and the car dragged me down the hill until I suddenly realised I should probably let go of it.

Unfortunately it was quite warm that day and I only had shorts on

The first photo is my leg straight afterwards, the second is my leg today

Went to Minor Injuries and they bandaged it and told me to keep changing the dressing

It is healing however the white bit in the centre doesn’t seem to be changing and is still very painful and sore and weepy, that bit is quite deep

Thanks for reading,any advice appreciated

Ouch! That looks so sore.
I’d see if the gp surgery has a nurse appointment today. They are generally good with wounds and dressings. They may prescribe a different dressing/cream that will promote healing.

Thanks, I’m just amazed at how painful it still is after more than a week

You poor thing, that looks so painful!!!

I came off my bike years ago. It took a couple of months for my knee to heal from 'gravel burn' injury and it was less than yours. A week is no time at all.

Best wishes for your recovery and with getting an appointment with a GP nurse for advice on wound care. 🌻

Good grief, that is one big nasty wound. If you can’t see a practice nurse today can you pop back to minor injuries? Gravel burns and deep grazes are unreasonably painful but you definitely want to be sure that’s healing well.
