I'm 46. Perimenopausal. I am unwell but don't know what it is. GP says it is chicken pox but the spots do not crust over. They get hard, the top comes away and they seem to be refilling.

I have a headache and sore throat. I feel unwell in myself. I am itching all over. Have more than 50 of them at different stages. Was in our hot tub Sat PM and had these by Sun AM. But have never had this from the hot tub before?

What do we think please?

They were mostly on my torso to start. Now on arms, legs, bum and in my hair too.

My DD had this after going in a friend’s hot tub. She’d been in it before, but I can only assume it wasn’t cleaned properly on this particular occasion.

Doesn't sound like CP. They form fluid filled blisters that crust over

DH is fastidious about the chemicals and it's not happened before. But I agree, I
think it could be that.

GP has prescribed antiviral and rest. .

I don't get why more are still coming, if it is Folliculitis? I was in there on Sat night.

In your hair - did you put your head under the water in the hot tub?

@NorthWestWise No, I didn't! Hair stays dry. I really don't know what it could be...

No real help here but I don’t think it’s CP either. Or shingles.

So makes it unlikely to be the hot tub thingy as presumably that is from direct exposure to the water?

Doesn’t look quite like CP either, too ‘pointy’. But I am not a doctor!

I can't tell from your pictures but your phrase 'keep on coming' resonated.

I had Chicken Pox in my 30s. It started with a couple on my torso and then every morning I woke up to a new 'crop' on my face and working its way down my arms and legs.

So it does sound like you could have it. The hot tub is probably a red herring.

The anti viral stopped the new 'crops' quickly but they took a while to heal and disappear.
