Hi
I ask only because in the letter that i received it says please read pages 12 to 23 of the enclosed leaflet (which helpfully wasn't included ) and I'm thinking that's a lot of literature.

Am going this afternoon and would like to be prepared.
Thanks MNers

can't help - sorry, but bumping for someone who can.

All they do is put thngs like soft inner earphones into babies ear and transmit tiny noises thru them to record the response of the inner ear.

It doesn't always work properly for a number of reasons..too much noise in the room, fluid in their ears left over from birth, inexperienced staff etc

From memory the technician has a laptop with leads (like an earphone) coming out of it (which goes into the baby's ear).

It takes a minute or so and the results are available straight away.

Very easy and uncomplicated and the baby's don't seem to notice a thing.

Good luck xx

its nothing scary, all of mine slept thru it. ds3 (prob around the same age as your LO) kept snoring so they had to repeat it!

Your db needs to be quiet for it to work too. So asleep (like as if!), or dummied up / sucking hungrily on a bottle for it to work.

here you go
