Am I right to be worried about these bruises?

My toddler (3 in oct) has been off her food for the past month and eating considerably less than normal, drinking fine, weeing and pooing fine.

Her mood the past month or more has also been horrendous, she’s incredibly irritable but thrown in with short periods where she seems content.

She’s been soley in my care the whole summer holidays and I haven’t noticed any falls that would offer an explanation for the bruising and she would definitely be letting me know about a fall!

She isn’t lethargic, no bleeding, not sleeping more than usual and apart from a low grade fever for a few days, hasn’t had any signs of illness.

She has fair skin and is a red head like me but I’ve never known bruises to come up so quickly on her, the one on her tummy and back (albeit lighter in colour) seem particularly odd!

I’ve been in and out of the docs and hospital with my eldest recently for ongoing issues and I can’t work out if this bruising with my youngest deems another trip or not?

tx in advance for any advice x

I think it's probably nothing, I bruise easily and was covered like that as a child and still am to an extent and I'm not falling over anything, but leaning on a Lego brick, walking into the side of a table, playing at the park etc would give me mystery bruises like that, the behaviour and lack of eating could be just as much to do with being three and it being hot than anything else.

I'd watch and wait a while longer, unless what your older child is presenting with has similar symptoms

They look like normal childhood bruises but if you’re concerned then speak to the doctor, even if just for reassurance for you.
