Bathing eyes in cold tea is good for styes. i used to get lots When they reach a head then you can use slightly salted boiled water that has cooled to being bareable on the skin and soak cotton wool balls in it and hold to the eye. This helps draw the pus out.

she had pus in both eyes this morning but now its just blood shot.

Are you sure its styes she has and not conjunctivitis? A stye is like a spot on the eyelid so is painful rather than itchy.

biglips · 17/04/2008 15:59

oh right so its poss a conjunctivites?

If the symptoms were weepy and bloodshot eyes then yes its more likely to be conjunctivitis which is contagious. I think you can get stuff from the pharmacy these days but I'm not sure.

many thanks dustystar

i managed to get a last minute appointment today when my dp came home from work in the car. it is a a little bit of conjuncitives so got some eye ointment so looks like no school tmrw for her.

but for the party she will be ok to go.
