I'm a witch with a warty neck. It's going to hurt getting rid of it, isn't it?

I have a wart which is growing right on the soft bit at the lower front part of my neck. You know, the bit you'd press if you were to strangle me.

If I go and get it frozen off, is it going to hurt? A lot? Does the nurse or whoever have to press hard?

Yes it hurts - I've had them done on knees and fingers. There's no pressing though - it's like a dry ice spray thingy which they kind of squirt repeatedly over the wart. Afterwards, it blisters and swells, but then heals and falls off (with no scar - can't see where mine were now).

Have strong painkillers beforehand and just grit your teeth. It's unpleasant but not unbearable - I'd rather have another wart off than go to the dentist and have my teeth scraped for example.

Oh god, that's not comforting.

Maybe i've just got a good dentist but i don't mind having my teeth scraped. I'm not looking forward to this though.

When I was little I had a verruca frozen off and it was agony. But I was kind of hoping that that was because I was little and completely unprepared for any mild discomfort.

Sorry!... honestly it's not that bad. You asked if it hurts, and it does but it's over quickly and well worth it IMO. It's definitely not agony.
