Cleaning baby with water

Just wondering if any parents prefer to use water to clean their baby when they have done a poop?

I've always preferred water as it cleans more and saves a ton on wet wipes.

just wondering if it’s just me or other parents are the same?

fyi my little one is nearly 2 and have been cleaning using water since he was 6 months

Always. Cotton wool and water, sometimes mild baby soap.

Baby can’t use wet wipes - gives him a terrible rash and dry bum. I am not complaining as the smell of them makes me heave. I would not use them even if he could.

Yes. We had washcloths and used water/soap.

Cotton wool and water for each nappy change when we were at home and unscented wipes when we were out.

That was our usual system.

OP I used to have a lunch box and would fill it with cotton wool and then enough water to soak it. So handy . And a micro fiber cloth for drying !

Yep. It was always water and cotton wool .

Water and reusable cotton wipes here - amazing for getting the bum clean and I have a feeling it's good for their skin too.
