Cuboid injury on foot?

So on 25th July (around 12 days ago) I decided to trip and fall on concrete and really twisted my foot. I've had it checked out but they didn't xray and said they don't think it is broken and it's the cuboid area that is hurt. The pain just isn't getting any better infact it's getting slightly worse but that's cos I'm looking after my 1 year old who is active at the moment and I'm with him alone most the day. Has anyone had similar injury to cuboid? Is it a bit of a recovery? Should I be pushing for an xray?

Thanks!

Nope. Nothing they can do. Bloody painful. Elevate, and ice and rest whenever you can. Well supportive shoes, preferably with an orthotic insole can be helpful.

I broke my cuboid. Horrifically painful but with the above treatment I still managed to dance on it twice a week.

@DuskandDawn ahhh! Is it fully recovered now? Can you remember how long it took? It's a horrid pain I can't explain it and my poor little one wants me to play with him but I can't keep up :(

Oh yes, all fine now. I think 4-6 weeks if I remember rightly. But like I say, I was properly dancing on it twice a week and on my feet for ten hours at a time for my job.
