I have had mild psoriasis (plaque psoriasis on knees and elbows) for a few years, use Dovobet to keep it under control. I am now having an all-over flare of guttate psoriasis and look like someone threw a blazing chip pan at me, and I can't stop scratching. Any other sufferers got any handy hints?

Yes!!!
For me - big flare of guttate means some sort of infection usually strep. Have you had a sore throat recently? Last time I'd had a very mild one, doctor was forward thinking enough to prescribe antibiotics and within a couple of weeks it had almost gone.
To stop scratching - lots and lots of emollient, as much as you can bear. Experiment with them - the greasy ones make me itchier, I need water based. Antihistamines like piriton at night can help.
at this time of year my derm expects me to go out and sunbathe for 10 mins. I thought he was crackers but it did seem to help. He also prescribed cortisone to rub in head to toe but unfortunately a year later I developed cataracts so I'm not sure he was right to do that.

Sorry had to go.
I hope you get some relief soon from it. Much sympathy to you!

Haven't had any noticeable sore throats - an under extreme stress which is probably what has done it. Will get some eucerin or something today and try that... Thanks for tips.

dovobet ususlly gets rid of the itching for me and keping skin well moisturised. But usually with Guttate it just takes time to go- for me about 3 months
