On a beach holiday and the skin between my toes is splitting. Presume it is athletes foot - went to a public shower a few weeks ago and had forgotten shoes.

please let me know what works well. Pharmacy cream? Apple cider vinegar?

Edit: wish I could edit the stupid typo in the title

I doubt if using forks will do any good. I suppose a fish knife might help a bit, or maybe a teaspoon.

Best of all, though, I’ve heard, are fondue prongs. Apparently athlete’s foot is rare in Switzerland so there’s some reliable data behind this.

Can you get to a pharmacy for some cream?

Just go to the pharmacy and get whatever is the strongest cream they'll handover to you! I have Daktarin at the moment. Tea tree oil may be an alternative if you can't get or don't want to use cream. It clears up pretty quickly.

Thanks. Covered it early with something strong from the pharmacy. Clearing up fast luckily. Will get the powder to add to socks/shoes for a few weeks to make sure it isn’t lurking anywhere. Gross. Haven’t had it for decades. Forgot my flip flops once at a public shower and got it.
