At a loss as to what's wrong with me

I honestly am at a loss and no one seems to know. Feeling rough for a few months, just vague symptoms that don't really add up. Getting every bug going aswell which doesn't help.

Extremely tired, gastro symptoms like constant nausea, diarrhea most days but on and off, getting full more quickly, chest pain on and off, feeling generally like death. Full blood count is fine.

I feel like the symptoms are all so unrelated it seems like my gp has no clue what to even investigate, but I know something isn't right with me. I guess I'm posting on the off chance anyone has any ideas of what it could possibly be.

Have you been tested for celiac disease?

Menopause? Have you had a scan, screening for cancer, ovarian and bowel, ibs. Long covid can be gastro too.

I can certainly empathise with you. I feel exactly as you do although constipation mostly no chest pain but seem to pick up everything that is doing the rounds. This past year or so I have lost count of the number of antibiotics I have been on for sinusitis/ ear infections / oral/ vaginal thrush/ then only to have uti’s x 4 treated with various courses too. I am usually upbeat and positive but I feeling really sorry for myself. Had fit test/ full bloods and all was well. GP now seems to put it down to IBS !!! As I have had gut issues h/pylori/ gastritis on more than one occasion . I take Omeprazole and have looked into this drug and apparently it can deplete Vit B12 tho GP says my results are ok. I am considering paying to have B12 injections at a reputable clinic. Any thoughts ???

I already have b12 deficiency so I am given an injection every 3 months, I also have hyperthyroidism so medicated for that.

I had those symptoms for months with no answers. Eventually the symptoms worsened and I started getting excruciating pain around the diaphragm area. A GP eventually agreed to send me for an ultrasound to 'ease my anxiety' turns out I had loads of gallstones.

Violetmouse · 26/07/2024 21:40

Have you had your thyroid function checked recently to make sure your medication is still correct?

I'm only 30,and had cervical cancer screening and I think the ovarian cancer blood marker test. I have had covid a couple of times but just don't want to put it down to that as I'm worried there's something really wrong with me
