Male Blood test & urine sample - why?

Dh is 41, he was invited to GPs for the male (40s to 75s) health check. Fasting bloods, height, weight, bp etc.

DH is fairly healthy, active, 2 healthy children with me so we thought it would be very routine. He doesn't drink but does smoke occasionally.

He had the fasting blood test yesterday. They called today and said something seems unusual and have asked him to visit again next Friday to provide another sample of blood and a urine sample. DH didn't ask what was wrong, think he was just shocked with the call.

Should we be worried? We wanted to have a third child and worry this now may not be an option (perhaps?). If it was urgent then wouldn't they ask him to go in sooner rather than later?

Look up the test results in the nhs app?
I dont know what else do they do fasting bloods for other than blood glucose levels?
I'm Only aware of this one but I'm not a medic, sorry!

I didn't know the nhs app was a thing? Assuming we need our nhs numbers to log in?

Ahh you sign up for access via your gp. It's really useful as all your consultations and test results are available to view.
