DS2 (7 weeks old) is poorly... can he have calpol?

DS2 is just 7 weeks old.
Today he has been sleeping most of the day, has had less milk than usual and has a temperature.

Should I give him anything? My bottle of calpol says 3 months upwards on it....

Technically, only under medical supervision.

ISTR when DS1 had his first vaccs at 8 weeks, the nurse gave us 2.5ml of Calpol to take home just in case.

I would check with someone first. You could ring NHS direct if you don't want to take him anywhere...

best to check with a doctor.dd2 had calpol at 2 weeks but it was prescibed by a consultant paed in the hospital.

Tbh - with a child of that age - I would want to get him seen by a doctor first. It's not just the temp - the sleepiness can also be cause for concern. If your GP is no good - take him to A&E. you will get good advice and reassurance.
