Dad had surgery a few weeks ago and had a skin graft procedure. It is healing really well and I’m wondering if anyone here is qualified to say whether we could leave the dressing off now?
Yes I know we should probably see a doctor (and we will, but his mobility is poor and getting an appointment there is difficult to say the least). We had home visits for the dressing for the first week or so but I’ve been doing it now for the last 2 weeks and they said when it was dry the dressing could come off.
The pink area is totally dry, that’s just the colour. The small scab area is also dry.
Can we leave it undressed now or would a light cover still be recommended??
