Anyones mole looked a bit flaky and it was ok?

Sorry for the random question. I have had a small mole on my chest my hole life. I've had it checked before and all was ok. However just now I brushed my hand over my chest and felt it and it feels a bit peely almost like dry skin.
I'm of course going to call my GP and get it checked but the minute I googled it I'm getting worst case scenarios so I've come here hoping someone somewhere has had a mole that felt a bit dry/flaky and it wasn't sinister xxx
It looks red in the photo but that's because I've been rubbing it/inspecting it x
Thanks in advance, I suffer from anxiety and this has sent me spiralling x

Yes, I've had 3 moles/lesions removed from my chest and back area because they started to change in colour and size. Luckily all were benign. Always best to get them checked out so you are doing the right thing, try not to worry too much.
