Pain in left arm.. please talk me down

Since Friday I’ve had a really weird feeling in my left arm, sometimes a numb feeling, sometimes a small pain but never severe. I get some pain around my wrist, up my forearm and around my upper arm, it’s comes and goes as the day goes on.

I CANNOT get impending heart attack out of my head. I don’t have chest tightening/pain, I don’t have dizziness/sore heads, I don’t have nausea or sickness. A funny feeling left arm is the only heart attack symptom I have but can’t stop worrying about it.

I know it can be many things, so for anyone with left arm pain can you give me some suggestions as to what it might be so I can relax a bit..

just to add I’m early thirties, I know you can have a heart attack at any age but less likely as I’m younger.

also, I was poorly last week with a bad cold (possibly covid), could this be causing it?!

You should really get this checked out to be sure, no-one on here can diagnose you

I had similar symptoms though when I had a trapped nerve/carpal tunnel.

Can I ask if you work using a computer? I had awful pain like this until I realised I was sitting at a weird angle WFH using a laptop and putting pressure on that arm. Silly really as I was also panicking but changed my seating/posture and it cleared up fine

Yes I do, I work 3 days a week at a computer for pretty much 9 hours solid. Thank you I will keep that in mind!

I have a trapped nerve in my neck which gives me pain/tingling down my arm
No pain in my neck though

Maybe a physio appt?

I experienced pain just like this when I had carpal tunnel syndrome during pregnancy.

I had this a few years back. I basically went numb in my left arm several times a day. I was too scared to go to the doctors (not good advise!), but it sort of went and I think it must have been some sort of trapped nerve maybe. Really freaked me out
