Appointment at the Hand Trauma Unit

Who knew that was even a thing?

Anyway I have a dislocated finger that minor injuries couldn't put back. They've moved it so it's improved but not quite in the right place.

What will the hand trauma unit do?

They may give you sedation so that they can reposition it better. I hope it's sorted soon!

Ah OK, so likely just to be more brute force? I was worried it might mean an operation?

If it is just a question of them "forcing" it back, how long will I be in pain for? I.e hours or days?

I'm supposed to have a sports thing this weekend. I couldn't play ATM and am wondering if I should cancel, but I'd be letting people down and would like to do it if possible.
