DS went down with some nasty bug in the middle of the night on Saturday - v&d all the next day, weak, tired and sleeping a lot but no fever and was back to his normal self on Sunday, if a little off food and complaining of a sore tummy. Since then both my DD and DH have come down with it - both had vomiting only, DD only twice (then off food and a little tired next day but otherwise fine), my DH on the other hand must have vomited on and off for 24 hours straight, had a terrible bad back and has been totally wiped out for two days. I've been on the frontline with both the sick children, mopping up after them, changing stained bed sheets etc. so when I started to feel bloated and have mild stomach pains on Saturday night I wasn't surprised, I ate a little on Saturday night but didn't really feel like it, then on Sunday I had a single episode where I needed to run to the loo and then after that I felt fine again (ate and drank as normal the rest of the day and my stomach felt fine). Since then though my stomach has been on and off, still sore and bloated and both yesterday and today I've had to run to the loo with loose stool (sorry tmi!).
Anyway it turns out this stomach bug has been going around a lot in the neighbourhood - whole families down with varying symptoms and much milder for some than others, however no one quite has had my symptoms (this lingering stomach pain and toilet issue but otherwise feeling fine) so I'm wondering if anyone else has had anything similar? I only ask as I'm also on medication that can affect your stomach so I'm trying to work out if this might be a side effect instead of the bug. As this is going around a lot (here at least) I thought it was worth an ask to see if anyone had similar experiences...
