Leukocytes and blood for a long time

Let me preface this by saying I seem to have developed a bit of health anxiety in recent months so am looking for reassurance.

I'm 34 and in December, I had what I thought what a UTI (pressure feeling, needing to wee and not being able to and visible blood). I had antibiotics and it seemed to clear up. Since January, I've had on and off left side pain that radiated from beneath my ribs to my groin. It's not severe pain, but is there more often than not. My GP thinks this is IBS.

I've had abdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds and (other than PCOS), everything looked normal apparently. I spoke to my GP following these and mentioned the UTI and the fact that I've had what looks like a streak of blood floating in my urine twice since then. She wasn't concerned but referred me to urology who have sent an urgent appointment for a cystoscopy.

To try to reassure myself, I bought some urine test strips which showed high leukocytes and a trace of blood, despite not currently having any other symptoms of infection. I know given my age, it's unlikely to be anything sinister but my mind is going into overdrive. Has anyone had similar and it turned out to be nothing?

Thank you if you've read this far!

Hi@TTCBlues
I had abdominal and gynae scans. Everything appeared normal, still had blood and leukocytes in my urine, though the blood wasn’t visible to the naked eye.
I also had pain down my side and in my back at the beginning but that cleared.
At my Cytoscopy the surgeon said everything appeared normal and it looked that way to me on the monitor.
I still have blood and leukocytes in my urine and that has been going on since last October. I also have a slight nip when beginning to wee but there has never been any infection. I’ve been told that it could be tiny kidney stones that they’ve missed. Kidneys were clear on the scan. I’m at a loss too.
However, I feel fine and have stopped taking my lemon and fresh ginger tea in the mornings as ginger can trigger bleeding if taken long term.
I am nearly 70 so think it may be age related. I just don’t know. 🤦‍♀️
Hope you’re Cytoscopy turns out ok. It’s not a painful procedure.

@Par1sappartment - thank you for taking the time to answer. Sorry to hear you've been through similar but I'm glad it doesn't seem to be anything serious.
