1-sided sore throat? Silent reflux?

Hi

For the last 4 months I've been having a 1-sided sore throat? Hurts to swallow very occasionally and front of neck feels like I've pulled a muscle too? Each time it lasts for 1 day then returns every 5-10 days?

Thanks

I feel like silent reflux wouldn't hurt so specifically. My DH has very unsilent reflux and doesn't ever have anything like those symptoms. More like a chronically infected tonsil maybe?

I think this warrants a trip to your GP. Someone needs to have a look in your throat

OP. Any update on this? I'm having exactly the same thing. I had a dentist appt today and she said my left tonsil looked inflamed. I have a gp appt on Friday. Getting a bit worried about it

Hi @Chloejane1986

My GP wasn't concerned. Thought it may be fluctuating hormones or a pulled neck muscle as I had been coughing from COVID. I was advised to monitor it but if I felt it was getting worse to book a same day appointment.

I read online about avoiding certain types of food and decided to stop eating 3-4 hours before I went to bed + sleep on 2 pillows. Since I've been doing this I haven't had one instance of it. I'm also trying to relax more when eating. The pain in my neck has gone too so it could have been a pulled muscle?

This is what has worked for me but everyone is different.

Try not to worry.

Could it be cycle related? Have you had COVID in the last 4 months?
