Intertrigo and travelling to a beach destination

Yeap, the worst timing ever. Wondered this morning about a stinging feeling under my belly, which I first though was from a previous day's brazilian waxing (maybe a sore hair follicle or something, as the treatment was rather painful in a new salon). But nope, I noticed a red "cut" under my belly, above c-section scar (12 yrs ago, well cured).. Looking like the skin was open, and irritated. I have some belly pouch or extra skin left of the c-sections / weight loss, and it's been hot and humid, and i've been extremely busy at work recently, the weeks before starting my summer holiday - and sitting alot... So yeah..

Went to pharmacy and showed the pharmacist a pic of the area, and she mentioned intertrigo, and that I should buy and use a fungal talcum powder, keep the are clean and dry and use the powder morning/night.

Thing is, I'm traveling to a holiday destination tomorrow with my partner, without the kids, and we picked the destination because of the sea, to swim. So, now.. probably I shouldnt swim because of the cut? As I am extremely stressed out already, and afraid I'll develop an infection or something, as the cut / belly area is not well ventilated, and am about to embark a very hot country..

I feel extremely tired and also sad/defeated. Been looking forward to this trip for months and now this thing, the night before traveling. Also, I was obviously planning plenty of sex, as it's a rare adult's trip. :(

I am praying the skin looks better by tomorrow, and the cut will get closed fast. I have no idea what to expect when it comes to the skingetting better , and this is my first time of intertrigo.

Any advice, hints, words of encouragement? Please? :(
