Tingling in my hands and arms. Exhaustion.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 21/06/2024 22:05

My daughter was sleeping 18 hours a day and was dizzy. She also had iron deficiency Anaemia and Hypothyroiditis, so it was hard to know what was due to what.

Worth remembering that B12 deficiency occurs in 40% of patients with Hypothyroiditis.

Honestly? I thought I had early onset dementia - I couldn;t remember the names of things 'hey kids pass that erm not a knife er oh what is it?' (a spoon ffs), totaly exhaustion, brain fog, muscle pain

eggandonion · 21/06/2024 22:44

Total exhaustion.

Pins and needles in arms and legs, extreme tiredness, forgetful, bad tempered, feeling cold…

LittleRebelGirl · 21/06/2024 23:10

Just tingling in my right arm from shoulder tip to tip of fingers. It would tingle as if about to go numb like with pins and needles. But didn't go fully numb. At first it was a few times a day, then after a few weeks it was upwards of 50 times a day. I saw the GP after 6 weeks of it who decided to do bloods first. This showed the deficiency. I had no other symptoms.
It took around 6 weeks post loading dose course for it to fully resolve. It didn't just stop - it was a gradual slow down. It hasn't returned since, been 6 months now.

Breathless, exhausted, pins and needles and numbness in my toes, hands, bum cheeks. Inability to orgasm or when I did it was actually painful not pleasurable. Waking up in a panic, just startled awake without reason.

BigPussyEnergy · 21/06/2024 23:14

Also worth noting, I have hypothyroidism too, as someone mentioned above.

I no longer qualify for the injections on NHS but have found my levels improve using Jarrow methylated high strength lozenges dissolved under my tongue/between lower teeth and gums.

This with dizziness and breathlessness. I'd also not under estimate the forgetfulness - it felt like I might be going senile. Get bloods done and if you are deficient they will start you on injections.
