Mum spiking fever after surgery

How bad is this? She had abdominal surgery 2 weeks ago. All went well. Recovery was OK. Monday this week she had a slight temperature. They gave her more antibiotics just to be on the safe side. Same on Tuesday. Yesterday she had labs that were not good. They said some sort of inflammation. Last night temperature was up to 39,5 and she was very poorly. More labs today and they are much worse than yesterday. Antibiotics are obviously not working for her. They are waiting for the culture to come back to change the meds hopefully by tonight.

How bad is this? I'm not liking that they don't know what to give her.

Op I'm sorry your mum is so poorly. It might take a few day's for the antibiotics to start working. Sending hugs x
