21 month tiny pea size bump just under skin about 3 cm up from tummy button in middle of tummy

I've just noticed tonight that my 20 month old has a tiny pea size bump just under his skin about 3 cm up from his belly button. It doesn't feel that hard but of course now I've started to get worried. I'll make an appointment to see the doctor in the morning but anyone experienced little lumps like this in their lo's just to put my mind at rest a bit tonight?....

My Ds who is now 7 has always had one (and my Dad has one too and he's 60). I think it's some sort of small hernia but my HV told me not to worry - this was obviously many many moons ago.

If you do go to the Drs - please post back here what Doc said.

Doc wasn't sure to be honest but thinks its either a cyst or prob a hernia. he just told me to keep an eye for next couple of weeks and bring him back if I'm worried .....
