Hi, i’m a bit worried as I have been frequently spotting with a watery discharge that has a fishy odour for quite a few weeks. And I have some discomfort in the area (feels as though I have a heavy tampon in that’s dropped down). No itching.
I called the doctor, and they saw me the same day and did a vaginal swab. The doctor also referred me for a gynaecology appointment, so that will be coming up in the future. 4 days on from the swab, I received a text for a doctors phone appointment for 10 days time. I’m trying to rack my brains as to what this could be. I only saw the text last night, so have not been able to phone and now it’s the weekend.
Surely, if it is an infection, the receptionist would’ve phoned me to pick up a prescription for antibiotics?
If the result showed cancerous cells, would they have rung me straight away - or does it not work like that now?
Any ideas, pls?
