Benenden health alternatives

I spoke with benenden today and you have to be a member for 24 months to have access to their surgical procedures.
Does anyone know of any alternatives to Benenden as I'm not comfortable with a 2 year wait (but I do appreciate that they're reasonably priced)
TIA

If you don’t want to wait the 2 years on Benenden (imposed as so many people were abusing the system) then you need to consider getting proper insurance such as Bupa/Vitality/Aviva etc I’m afraid. It’s a lot more expensive but at least then you be can reassured that should anything happen to you/your DC it will be covered + sorted immediately. Benenden is good but cheap for a reason as what they will and won’t pay out for is very limited.

Source: previous Benenden customer, now very fortunate to have Bupa who have been fantastic with us over the last few years.
