Burning like pain in thigh ?

Since yesterday I’ve had pain front of thigh, like a burning sensation. When I touch it it’s sensitive, but even when I’m not touching it it’s sore too . Google says Meralgia paresthetica , caused by injuries, tight clothing, pregnancy or obesity all of which I’m not or haven’t done . Is it worth going to a gp about ? Gp recently done bloods and said were satisfactory so no doubt if I call they’ll just say “well your bloods are fine..

When I had shingle it started like this, any sign of any spots?

I had meralgia paresthetica, and I was not obese! A little overweight but nowhere near obese. I did wear tight jeans though.

Anyhow, there are sliding exercises to do that helps loosen up where the nerve passes through the tendons - they helped me

I was going to say meralgia paresthetica too. I had it after I had dc2. GP said I could do some stretches/strengthening exercises but that there wasn't really any treatment. He said he's never seen someone twice for it so either it goes away or people learn to live with it which was helpful Confused

I think as with most things if it doesn't get better within a few days/a week then I'd get it checked out.

I have myalgia paresthetica it's awful. Mine starts from the middle of my outer thigh and runs right across to just above my knee. It feels like Someone is dragging broken glass across my leg and if I press certain areas it's a sharp stabbing pain. If I lightly run my fingers across my leg I have more numb parts. Not numb as in I can't feel it at all but like a loss of sensation. Anything can trigger it. Wearing jeans, laying in bed and air hitting my leg and even showering. I've had 2 maybe 3 really bad ones where I have woken up during the night feeling like I have had acid poured over my leg and the pain is unbearable. I am overweight though and mainly carry the weight around my stomach
