droopy eyelid part 2

was wondering has anyone ever had a little one with a swollen eyelid that then resolved?

my little one's eyelid is getting worse

and sometimes is fine - which baffles me and worries me sick

his eyelid goes from half way down to sort of normal upright

going to docs to make sure eyesight not being affected

but it suddenly dawned on me could you have an eyelid infection/swelling without redness or discharge?

no idea what this droopy eyelid is?

if it is ptosis then why so intermittent??

I'm not sure, it hasn't happened consistently for about 8 months and I'm not sure I noticed anything about her blinking speed at the time. It would make sense if it was slower, I suppose, given the general problem in the area but to be honest I don't know.

Hope you get your appointment soon

oh bumbly. Poor you. My DD is having a nasty time teething atm but there's nothing to see facially or in her mouth. No problem with her eye atm but yesterday I thought it seemed a little swollen. The only way I can tell is that she's practically biting her fingers off. Could it not be the internal inflammation at work?

Sure this doesn't help as you won't feel any better till you've seen the specialist but I just wanted to let you know I'm still here!

thanks - the more i read about it the more i think it is true ptosis

just dont know why it would suddenly appear?

his eyelid droops whenever he looks slightly down/straight...that is the main feature plus it has an extra crease which is most odd

it is hard thing to look at your baby and constantly be reminded there is something not quite right as it is there right in front of you reminding you all the time!!!

am shattered as cant sleep

sppointment seems miles away but is in 4 weeks time...

my girl's suddenly appeared too. Woke up one morning with a half closed eye. By lunchtime it had gone. Same again next day then off and on again for a week then more sporadically (sp?) for about a month.

Anyway, fingers crossed for your appointment. Really thinking of you. xx

Hi there
I know this post was a while ago but I just wondered how you got on with the diagnosis. My child has similar symptoms, she’s just 8 months. Would love to know how on your progress.
