Sore spot on breast. Doctor or wait and see?

Have a sore spot on my breast which I absentmindedly much have itched at one point. Red circle around it is about 5cm in diameter. Not sure whether to bother the Doctor or give it a few days to see if it goes away?

I would be on the phone Monday morning to book an appointment with my GP if that was me.

Mairzydotes · 02/06/2024 12:51

Do you have an online request facility where you can send the photo to them? They may contact you and let you know if you need medical attention, or if it will heal itself.

I think as a whole , we are more concerned about issues with our breasts than other parts of our bodies.

Get it checked, please. Always better safe than sorry.

@Mairzydotes yes, my Doctors has an online e-consult. I'll drop them a message. Thanks for your advice ladies. 🙂

Hey @EbbandTheWanderingHearts , I was really confused with this post because I've had similar and had thought of starting a thread! First spotted mine last week. It looks much better now but I've got a GP appointment on Friday for something else so will mention it then.

Hope all's ok with you Flowers

I also have the same, and in fact I checked the OP as I was thinking of starting a similar thread last week! I thought mine was a mosquito bite that I’d scratched. It’s almost gone away now.

Thanks for all the replies. Finally got a reply from my E-consult. Doctor said he thought it looked infected. No shit Sherlock! Even I can tell yellow/green stuff oozing out of it isn't good. 🙈🤣 Then he forgot to send the prescription to my pharmacy so I either need to see if the pharmacist will prescribe antibiotics or go through the hassle of trying to contact 111 on a weekend. Not sure I want to wait another 48+ hours to start antibiotics. More recent picture added. Not for the squeamish!

Definitely don't wait another 48 hours for antibiotics. Looks really sore. Hope you manage to get some medication today

I did, thank you. Rang 111 at 12.45pm today and had antibiotics an hour and a half later! Can't complain about that!

That's good - hope it heals soon
