My friend's DH suffers with undiagnosed stomach and bowel problems, details of which I will not dwell on, BUT he swears beer makes it better. I suspect this is a man thing and is completely untrue but an escape to the pub gives him a much needed break from whinging indoors about it and making his wife want to kill him.
