Has anyone had high creatinine and high levels of albumin in urine - was it ckd or something else?

Me last month. On my notes it said AKI Warning stage 1.

Had some bloods done a couple of weeks later and it was resolved. What levels are yours?

Meagain24 · 31/05/2024 22:02

That’s great
unfortunately quite high so don’t think it would be likely they just stop. I think Creatinine was 160 but the normal range for me says maximum of 100

Mine were 113 (normal range 84). Will you be having further tests? What has your doctor said?

Meagain24 · 01/06/2024 09:19

Did you have a urine test at all?
yes waiting for ultrasound. I just don’t really understand it all, it seems if you have high levels and albumin in urine it’s a pretty definitive answer that you have ckd so I am worried

kidneys are way more complex than that! Chronic kidney disease requires that the tests are deranged over a period of time.... an acute kidney injury can happen for all sorts of reasons and recover to being completely normal. The results need to be interpreted in the context of your medical history, the rest of the test results and any examination/other investigation findings and the best person to do that is the person who requested the bloods in the first place.

Thank you, this has made me feel better!

I think because I went in for tests about something totally different in my mind I’m thinking it would be unlikely it’s something that’s only just started.
